Tanga Resources Singida Project

Tanga Resources Singida Project

Terra is pleased to be associated with recent success targeting IP anomalies at Tanga Resources’ Singida Project. Petrophysical analysis and a 3D IP/resistivity  survey confirmed the sulphide alteration associated with gold mineralisation had an IP response at the Winston Prospect.  The 3D IP/ resistivity was acquired using an offset pole-dipole array configuration. Gradient array IP/resistivity and detailed ground magnetics has been successful in mapping sulphide alteration elsewhere in the Singida Project. Please read the the full Tanga Resources release...
Targeting IP anomalies at Coventry Resources’ Caribou Dome Project

Targeting IP anomalies at Coventry Resources’ Caribou Dome Project

Terra is pleased to be associated with recent success targeting IP anomalies at Coventry Resources’ Caribou Dome Project. Coventry Recourses committed to one of the largest 3DIP surveys conducted in recent time (~290 line km in a 100m offset pole-dipole array) covering ~6km of prospective stratigraphy. Please read the full Coventry Resources release...
TeamWA Workshop: Mapping mineral systems – new perspectives and challenges for exploration geophysics

TeamWA Workshop: Mapping mineral systems – new perspectives and challenges for exploration geophysics

The Mineral Systems approach attempts to view the spatial and temporal distribution of ore deposits by relating the processes that control the source, transport, and deposition of metals and other commodities to the evolving structure of Earth’s crust and mantle. The change from searching for specific types of mineralisation to understanding aspects of hydrothermal or magmatic architecture at different scales presents new challenges and perspectives for acquiring, processing and interpreting geophysical data. For this TeamWA Workshop we have invited a series of talks by expert geophysicists who address this topic by presenting advances in methods, and case studies.  Barry Bourne from Terra Resources presented, “Geophysical Exploration for Gold: Regional to Mine Scale Targeting”. Miyabi Gold Project Update

Miyabi Gold Project Update

Rift Valley Resources Limited (“Rift Valley” or “Company”) (ASX: RVY) is pleased to announce further encouraging assay results from the current drilling programme at its 100% owned Miyabi Gold Project in Tanzania. Initial (composite) assay results have been received from reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Miyabi. Highlights include: Geophysical anomaly “Sid” hits broad zone of high grade gold mineralization MBRC 449 – 18m @ 4.23g/t Au from 87m Including 9m @ 8.01g/t from 96m And 3m @ 1.58g/t from 138m Sid mineralization is contained within a broad zone of 24m @ 3.21g/t Au from 84m Shambani drilling confirms strike extension MBRC 447 – 3m @ 1.71g/t from 15m and 9m @ 0.86g/t from 66m and 6m @5.03 g/t from 81m MBRC 448 – 6m @ 1.45g/t from 138m New Prospecting licence issued over the area containing the current 704,000oz Au resource Drilling continues Click here to view the full ASX...
New Bedrock Gold Drill Target Identified at Contessa

New Bedrock Gold Drill Target Identified at Contessa

Highlights Strong Induced Polarisation (IP) anomaly in close proximity to supergene gold mineralisation identified at Contessa. The IP anomaly extends for a distance of 150m, has a target depth of 150m to 200m and lies below and south-east of Lodestar drilling. The anomaly is strongest on the section corresponding with previous ore-grade drill intercepts1, including LNR546 – 15m at 3.1g/t gold from 40m LNR656 – 21m at 3.01g/t gold from 40m and LNR545 – 10m at 1.2g/t gold from 50m An RC program to test the IP anomaly is now a high priority and currently being planned. West Australian gold explorer Lodestar Minerals Limited (ASX:LSR, “Lodestar” or “the Company”) advises that the results of the recently completed detailed aeromagnetic and Induced Polarisation (IP) geophysical surveys at the Contessa gold prospect have now been received and reviewed. Contessa is located on the Company’s 100%-owned Ned’s Creek project, located 170km north of Meekatharra, Western Australia (Figure 1). Lodestar completed a gradient array and pole-dipole IP survey at Contessa to assist with targeting bedrock gold mineralisation beneath the extensive supergene gold mineralisation intersected by aircore drilling. The Contessa gold discovery was made by the Company in 2013. An initial surface sampling program identified a 6km gold and Bi-Mo anomaly overlying granite-greenstone. Numerous new pegmatite targets identified at Mt York Lithium Project, WA

Numerous new pegmatite targets identified at Mt York Lithium Project, WA

Successful radiometric and aeromagnetic surveys reveal priority target areas HIGHLIGHTS Targeting using the recently-acquired, ultra-detailed airborne geophysics completed at the Mt York Lithium-Gold Project in WA. Numerous new pegmatite targets identified from radiometric and aeromagnetic data interpretation. Targets to be field-checked, mapped and sampled over the coming weeks ahead of drilling planned for early next quarter. Results suggest significant future upside potential at Kairos’ Mt York Project. Kairos Minerals Limited (“Kairos” or “Company” ASX: KAI) is pleased to advise that it has received the final results from a targeting exercise using recently acquired airborne geophysical data from its Mt York Lithium-Gold Project, located in the highly prospective Pilgangoora region of WA’s East Pilbara (see Figure 5). As a result of this work, multiple pegmatite targets have been identified throughout Kairos’s tenement package, using ultra-detailed radiometric and aeromagnetic data. These targets highlight the significant potential of the Mt York Project, which abuts the world-class Pilgangoora Lithium Tantalum Project being developed by Pilbara Minerals (ASX: PLS), as well as the Altura Mining (ASX: AJM) and Dakota Minerals (ASX: DKO) lithium projects. The newly identified target areas will be subject to ground-based exploration activities including reconnaissance field evaluation and mapping/rock chip sampling in the coming weeks ahead of drilling planned for early in the September 2016 Quarter.
