The horizontal loop ground electromagnetic survey (HLEM) was undertaken in March 2022 by SAGAX Afrique SA with oversight, data processing and interpretation undertaken by Perth based Terra Resources Pty Ltd. Castle Managing Director, Stephen Stone commented “The HLEM survey at our Kambale graphite project has not only achieved our main objective of better defining the extent of the graphite mineralisation below cover but has also provided a very strong indication of likely extensions to the known resources and mineralisation. Processing and modelling have now been completed with Mr Barry Bourne from Terra Resources as external consultant. Terra Resources principal consultant Mr Barry Bourne said “A detailed geological and geophysical review lead to the concept of seismic to further advance exploration at Mawson. The IP survey was completed on four east-west lines, of which three cover the strike extent of known high-grade gold mineralisation within the central Mulga Bill area and one covers the southern end, where a recent AC hole intersected bottom-of-hole mineralisation assaying 23.78g/t Au. Interpretation of the recent high-resolution gravity survey combined with reprocessing of previous VTEM data has emphasised the scale of the Mulga Bill mineralised corridor, particularly a 3km-long section where coincident gravity and conductive features present a high priority exploration target extending to depth. Geophysical consultants Terra Resources have reprocessed the Company’s Side Well VTEM data and interpreted it in parallel with the recently-completed high-resolution gravity survey. By using the VTEM data to remove the overburden effect from the gravity data a much clearer image shows a high-gravity trend corresponding to the Mulga Bill corridor. Read the full announcement...
